Also, we need your help! We need ideas for future events you would be interested in attending. Do you have feedback for past events and comments for how we can improve? We’d love to hear your thoughts! Help make Veg Tuesdays the best veg social events in NYC!

We’ll be back in full swing on the September 5th! Events will now be every other week, rather than weekly, so events will be better than ever! More organized, more attendees, more fun!! There are some exciting plans in the works so stay tuned!
Wow, what an awesome turnout last night! The rain stopped just in time for Veg Tuesdays to begin :) If you missed it, boy, did you miss a good time! Not to make you feel bad or anything, but just saying.
Comedians Kate Wolff (also art teacher and owner of Evolve Accessories) and Alex Carabano had the audience laughing till it hurt (you should check out their show on Saturday the 20th at Angels and Kings!) Thank you to Danny of V-Spot and Edita of Friends of Animals for being good sports and participating in the dating game show. They were bachelor and bachelorette, blind-folded and made to take their pick of three mystery . Kate and Alex made sure to make this an R-rated event. We learned some deep, dark secrets about the contestants, but what happens at Veg Tuesdays stays at Veg Tuesdays. You’ll just have to be there next time to find out what the night is all about.
After the game show finished, we had a quick round of speed dating. We may have made a match or even two! But we’re not telling who the next vegan “it” couple is… no jinxing it! When wedding bells ring, though, just be sure to hire Verite Catering to cater the wedding :)
Dan The Ethical Man, Bud of Enforced Arch and Studio Anya, and Elizabeth graciously agreed to sell themselves for charity in our silent auction for Mercy for Animals. Congrats to the winners and thank you for your generous support for this amazing organization!
There were free chocolate truffles for everyone who attended (not just the men as advertised, we can’t be sexist even if we want to be) and Vspot brought their delish Philly cheesesteak empanadas.
Check out the pics on Facebook! Thanks again to everyone who attended and made the night our most fun yet!
Please note there will NOT be a Veg Tuesdays event next Tuesday the 16th! We’ll see you again on the 23rd, theme to be announced soon!
God knows how hard it is to find a good man/woman in New York, let alone one who is veg*n! This is a LGBT-friendly event!
Find your veg soulmate! Speed dating begins promptly at 6:30pm.
Afterwards, there will be a hilarious vegan bachelor dating game show hosted by Kate Wolff and Alex Carabano. So even if you aren’t single, you shouldn’t miss this!
Win a date with a cute vegan girl or boy with our silent auction! Proceeds will benefit Mercy for Animals.
Veggie boys get a free chocolate truffle just for attending!
There will be aphrodisiac munchies for sale:
-arugula salad with roasted yellow sweet potato in pesto dressing
-seared oyster and cremini mushroom sandwiches with cashew cheese
-chocolate covered strawberries
*There will NOT be a Veg Tuesdays event next Tuesday the 16th!

Thank you to everyone who came out despite the rain last night! Once, again, there was a great turnout (but who wouldn’t brave the rain for ice cream??)

Among all the vegan oldtimers, there were a few veg-curious and vegetarians in attendance looking to make the transition to veganism. Rachel Kay, longtime animal activist and vegetarian since age 10, shared some great tips and resources in the city to make the vegan life easier. The seasoned ones know, NYC is an incredible place to be vegan. The correct answer to “Isn’t it hard being vegan?” is a resounding, “NO!” With all the vegan cafes and restaurants (Candle 79 tops my list), bakeries galore (Cowgirl’s Baking, Babycakes, Gonepie), and most importantly, Lula’s Sweet Apothecary, it really is one of the most veg-friendly places in the world. What are your favorite places to wine and dine in the city?
We have an incredible team of mentors who have generously signed up to provide guidance to a new or struggling vegan. If you’re in need of help, sign up here! Help is only three blank lines and a circle away!
Join us next week for the next edition of Veg Tuesdays: Business Networking. Bring plenty of business cards and have a 60-sec commercial ready (optional but highly encouraged!) Let’s support like-minded professionals and businesses!
